Slash "Knocking on Heaven's Door" guitar solo
->
Go to page 2

This Slash solo is definately the ultimate guitar lesson for the beginner guitarist! The solo is easy to recognise, it features some classic rock/blues pentatonic licks, and shouldn't be impossible to learn for someone who is willing to put some time into practicing!

The main scale of the solo is E minor pentatonic (with the note C - b6 - added). The tuning of this song is Eb (tune your guitar a half step down).

Guest instructor Rob Girard is fifteen years old, and has only been playing for a year. Rob has bought the dvd "Speed, Tone & Theory" and states it's an "awesome" learning resource for vibrato and speed. He uses the following equipment in this lesson:

guitar - gibson sg standard
amplifier - Crate gtx212
effects pedal - rp200a
