Jimi Hendrix "Little Wing" guitar lesson

The following part illustrates how Mr Hendrix uses the pentatonic box (in this case Am) to do his rhythm-solo thing. Try to improvise around this concept.

 

In this next segment, Jimi plays the E note in the bass, thereby evoking the tonality of E minor. The double- and triple stops (two or three notes played simultaneously) add rhythmic flavour to the melody.

 

In this segment Jimi adds some "extension" notes over a B minor chord. By adding the different notes of the B minor scale (B - C# - D - E - F# - G - A) the B minor chord gets different tonalitys such as Bmadd9, Bm7 etc. This part is ended with a chromatic descent.
