Sometimes referred to as the easiest hit song for guitar..! This statement is not entirely true, since playing the four power chords isn't merely enough to get the right feel.

Even though Kurt Cobain's songs only contain a few chords and riffs, his rhythm playing is not always as simple as it may seem.

In this intro/main riff Kurt mixes chicken scratching with the use of open "passing" strings to create cool rhythm and harmony.

Now over to the verse "riff". As for the level of difficulty, no one can deny this part is quite simple... Together with the bass riff and some effects, this part is strong inspite of it's simplicity. Choose the fingering which suits you best.
