Here is a simplified version of Otherside, which allows a single guitar to somewhat reproduce the intro. Beginners should find a chord chart for the whole song, as it is an easy one to begin with.

One way of playing this intro, is by plucking the high notes with the right hand middle finger, and the bass notes with the pick (as shown in the video). You can also replace the pick with right hand thumb, in other words playing completely "fingerstyle".
