Gotcha!! There are other ways than the conventional to play this classic riff.

One of the things I like the most with rhythm guitar, is the possibility to take a theme and add some "effects" to it. By that I don't mean distortion pedals and stuff - rather rhythm techniques which will give the illusion of a sound effect.

I have never been very interested in equipment, and learning a new technique doesn't cost nearly as much as a new effect pedal - still the technique is [in my opinion] a hundred times more effective!

TAB:

e|--------------------------------------------|
b|--------------------------------------------|
g|0-/3-/5~---0-/3-/6\5~--0-/3-/5~--/5-3-0-----|
d|0-/3-/5~---0-/3-/6\5~--0-/3-/5~--/5-3-0-----|
a|--------------------------------------------|
e|--------------------------------------------|

What will give you the right sound here, are the slides ( notated as "/") and the vibrato (notated as "~"). I am also using my right hand fingers (instead of pick) to get a special attack.

Make sure to get these techniques down before you buy your next effect pedal!
