Stevie Ray Vaughan "Voodoo chile" guitar lesson (part2)

Go to part 1

Here follows yet some intense raking. Notice the "question and answer" effect Stevie achieves by repeating the some licks while altering others.

g|------------11--------13-------------|
d|---------13--------------13----------|
a|------13-----------------------------|
e|--11------------------------11-11-11-|

This licks resembles the very first of the solo. The wide interval jump adds an unpredictable flavor.

g|-11-13-13b-13-11--------11---------|
d|-----------------13---------13-11--|

The effect here is achieved by playing two similar pentatonic descends in a row, each with slightly different phrasing. Don't forget to apply these concepts to your own playing and improvising.

Next comes this syncopated lick, also notice the "question and answer" effect of the first part of the lick.

The solo ends with yet another unpredictable/syncopated phrase. Notice the string skip from the A string to the B string.

e|----------------11---------------------------------|
b|----------------11-14-11---------------------------|
g|-13-11-------------14-11--------------13-11--------|
d|-------13-11-------------13-11--13-11-------13-11--|

Good luck!!
