Jimi Hendrix Wild Thing riff

At a first glimpse, this song seems painfully simple, there are only three chords! However, I have found the riff to be quite challenging for the beginner/ intermediate guitarist.

Jimi Hendrix makes this cover tune come alive with his funky scratching and use of open strings (not to mention he plays it quite slowly, which in itself gives it a characteristic groove).

Make sure to pay careful attention to the right hand's up & downstrokes... Good luck!

This tab dows not show the exact strings to hit - for perfection, watch/listen the video!

If you know an A chord - you will be able to do this - just lift your left hand figers to produce the open string sound!

Good luck!
